I've spent quite a few years going around multinationals to be clear that, deep down, they're a bit like daycare centers where people pretend they know what they're doing so their toy won't be taken away.
Nothing you read here promises that you'll be rich, free, or that you'll work four hours a day from a beach.
It may help, yes, but chances are that tomorrow you'll still be chained to a paycheck that barely covers the size of your fears.
Because let's face it, most of you will read this and do absolutely nothing.
You already know the cycle.
You read one of my texts on Friday while you're having a coffee. You nod. You feel like a rebel. “Yes, sir! Everything will change on Monday.” Monday comes, at 8:47 an email from your boss arrives, and you bow your head again. By Wednesday, you've already forgotten why you were angry.
That's the reality. Why lie?
Now then.
If you decide to do something with what I write, the responsibility is yours. If you ask for a raise and they give it to you, great, buy yourself something nice. But if you tell someone to go to hell and end up on the street, don't look at me. I wasn't there. I don't know your industry, or your bank account, or how stupid your boss is, or how much your coworkers hate you.
All of that matters. So no, I'm not promising you anything.
The same decision that gives one person an office, kicks another in the ass and makes them the water cooler gossip for two days.
If you also ruin your life by listening to a stranger on the internet, the problem isn't the stranger. The problem is that you were still waiting for someone to come and tell you how to live.
Oh, and about the stories I tell... I change the names, the details, and the contexts. The pattern is real. The person, almost never.
So if you read something here and think, "This guy's talking about me," it's not that I'm spying on you. It's just that you're as damn predictable as everyone else. That behavior was already there before I gave it a name.
That's pretty much it.
Like everything in life, these conditions can change, I can change, and the update date will change.
If at any point you stop seeing yourself in this, there's an unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email.
Use it. Sometimes it's better to stay where you are, in that bubble you already know. It's safer, and that's an option too.
A necessary clarification
There are no "under-the-table deals" here. If I recommend something, it's because I have something to say about it, not because I'm paid to do so. There are no affiliate links or hidden exchanges.
If I ever decide to collaborate with someone or use affiliates, I will be the first to tell you clearly and directly in the same text. I don't expect you to guess; I'll tell you straight up.
In the meantime, what you read is 100% what I think. And of course is not legal, financial, psychological, career, or professional advice tailored to your situation.
